Hello Families!
I trust you and your children have had a fantastic break!  Monday will be here before we know it!
Please make sure your children are doing their homework.  We do not grade it, there is no conduct  points taken off, but it is invaluable practice and review.  If they do not turn in their homework on Thursday for Math and Friday for reading and spelling, then they miss their recess.  I spoke to most of you during parent teacher conferences about this and for the most part the kids turn in their work.  Keep up the good work!
This week we are finishing up our addition unit and beginning subtraction.  Please look for the ways we do addition and subtraction letter to come home. It will be on a brightly colored piece of paper.  This will help you understand what we are doing in the classroom!  I will scan them both and post them here by the end of the week!

Hello families!
I am still recovering from surgery!  I am hoping to be back into the classroom by Thursday.  Still a bit of pain, but it is getting better!  I cannot wait to be back to work!

Hello parents!

I hope some of you have started to follow this blog!  I am trying to keep up with it, but it has been a challenge.

I will be out of the classroom October 23-October 30th for surgery.  Mrs. Wood will be  substituting for me.  She is a certified teacher so rest assured your students are in good hands.

Please remember that your students have homework in math and reading and spelling every week.  Math is due on Thursday and Spelling and Reading is due on Friday to allow for students to study for their spelling test.

End of the 9 weeks is upon us, so please make sure any corrections on work below a 70 is turned in by Friday or will not be accepted.  Also, if there is any makeup work or missing work, it is due by Friday or they will not receive credit.

Story  Character dress up day is October 31, 2012.  Your student may dress up as  a STORY book character that is school appropriate.  If they come in another costume,  they will have to change.  If they do not have appropriate school clothes to change into, you will be contacted to bring a change of clothes.  

Hello Blazers!
I wanted to post a summer update!  I will be moving to 4th grade in August.  I will teach Math, Science and Social Studies!
My future 4th graders can look at this blog in August to see the schedule for the year and what we will be doing the first few weeks of school.

Our class had a great time at field day and I got soaked to the bone!  We played spray bottle tag!  I think I lost!  My class did very well!  Be looking for a letter about your students and how they can earn rewards for the rest of the school year.  It is called learning earnings.com
There log in is there user name for the computer at school and their password is their user name also!
I am awarding bucks for doing good deeds, doing homework, good conduct in class, etc!
They will be awarded 15 dollars per day per teacher (that is a possibility of $30 per day).  I will award an extra buck or 2 per day for behavior and good deeds (some times more!)  They will lose bucks (2) per infraction according to HOW I ACT.  I will then upload their bucks after school that day.   Please remind your student that school is not out and we are looking for their best behavior!
